What is happening at this moment:

Bees are happily flying in CA oblivious to the fact that they will be in AK next week!

 We will send out an email on Saturday called  2024 Bee Delivery Day Procedures specific for your pick up for this upcoming shipment (the 23rd). Check your spam/junk folder if you did not get it!

Remember last year the feeder cans were about half full.  It is a good practice to have feed available to them when they arrive.  

  Please be sure to feed your bees as soon as practical!  

Pick Up Driving Directions:

 Anchorage: 

Access Kenn Barnett's house at 3780 E 72^nd Ave by following this driving route:   Use East 68th Ave to turn south on Bugle Court.  Follow Bugle Court for 3 blocks until it intersects with Henderson Loop. Turn Right onto Henderson Loop.  If you follow Henderson Loop it will take you to East 72nd Ave.  Turn Left onto East 72nd Ave. This will place you on the south side of the street one block from Kenn’s garage. 

This will form a line of cars on the same side of the street leading to Kenn’s house.  If you are the first to arrive at 3780 E 72^nd Ave, please stay in your car and wait to be signaled by one of the helpers when you can roll forward to the front of Kenn’s driveway. 

 If you ordered pollen, it will come with your bees.   If you need pollen substitute, please have exact change of $4 each as we will not make change; place the money directly into the container provided for that purpose.  

 Palmer:   

Again this year, we are using Brant & Becky Dallas’ home down Clark-Wolverine on 15700 E Jupiter Dr.  Go down Arctic, turn left onto Clark-Wolverine, go left at T, then it’s the first right onto Mars, and the first right onto Jupiter.  This is a u-shaped driveway to speed the delivery process as it worked so well before.

Please remain in line in your cars until those in front of you have moved off and you can roll forward to the front of Brant’s garage. A helper will ask you for the NAME on the package & if you want pollen.  If you ordered pollen, it will come with your bees.  If you need pollen substitute, please have exact change of $4 each as we will not make change; place the money directly into the container provided for that purpose.  

 WASILLA:   

 Our pick up spot will be on the corner of Vine and Parks Highway across from Goldstar Plumbing and right next to the Tessoro / Crowley Fuel station.  The parking lot is pretty open and has easy access from Vine as well as the Parks Highway southbound lanes.  When you come in for your bees, be aware that it is a business day so stay off the payment and use the gravel parking area. The gravel parking area is where we will distribute the bees.

BIG LAKE:  

The Big Lake pick up point is the EAST LAKE MALL (NOT THE THREE BEARS Store.) We will be distributing the bees directly from our trailer.   If you want your bees earlier, our Wasilla pick up is at Vine & the Parks Hwy in the Crowley gravel parking lot across from Gold Star.  The parking lot is pretty open and has easy access from Vine as well as the Parks Highway southbound lanes.  When you come in for your bees, be aware that it is a business day so stay off the payment and use the gravel parking area. The gravel parking area is where we will distribute the bees.

BIG LAKE Bees are in Wasilla trailer.  

 KENAI PENINSULA:   We will send out an email on Saturday the 20th day called  2024 Bee Delivery Day Procedures  specific for your pick up for this upcoming shipment. 

 SOLDOTNA:  Rick Lantz will be carrying the bees down to the Kenai Peninsula for us making stops & updates at Tern Lake.   Distribution in Soldotna is at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex, 538 Arena Dr. Be aware that the main parking area will be having some construction; so please use the first area on the right.

 Please check the update before heading out to the pickup site..  A helper will ask for the name on the packages & if you want pollen substitute.  If you ordered pollen, it will come with your bees. If you need pollen substitute, please have exact change of $4 each as we will not make change; place the money directly into the container provided for that purpose.  

Homer:  Rick Lantz will be carrying the bees down to Homer. Distribution in Homer is at the HERC parking lot next to the Homer Vet Clinic at 326 Woodside Ave. The trailer will be parked in the same spot but they ask to please use proper parking techniques & to use the lower HERC parking lot (entry off the Sterling Hwy) for overflow.

DELTA JUNCTION:  We will send out an email on Saturday the 20th day called  2024 Bee Delivery Day Procedures  specific for your pick up for this upcoming shipment. 

Our distribution point will be at the IGA store parking lot.  Copper River drop point will be at the Hub; Steve will update the arrival time when he passes through Palmer & Eureka.

We will update this website while enroute on delivery day so that you will have an accurate arrival time.

  INTERIOR:  

Our distribution point will be at the Hutchison Career Center School at 3750 Geist Rd at the corner of University and Geist Rd.
