Bee Delivery Day Directions

Delta junction trailer expects to be in Glennallen at 5:15

Where We Are in Delivery Schedule: ANC bees are picked up

Wasilla bees are picked up

Palmer bees are picked up

Delta Junction we are predicting approximately 7-8:00 p.m. please check back for an update on that location

Remember last year the feeder cans were about half full. It is a good practice to have feed available to them when they arrive.

Please be sure to feed your bees as soon as practical!

Pick Up Driving Directions:

Anchorage: Access Kenn Barnett's house by following this driving route: Use East 68th Ave to turn south on Bugle Court. Follow Bugle Court for 3 blocks until it intersects with Henderson Loop. Turn Right onto Henderson Loop. If you follow Henderson Loop it will take you to East 72nd Ave. Turn Left onto East 72nd Ave. This will place you on the south side of the street one block from Kenn’s garage.

This will form a line of cars on the same side of the street leading to Kenn’s house. If you are the first to arrive at 3780 E 72^nd Ave, please stay in your car and wait to be signaled by one of the helpers when you can roll forward to the front of Kenn’s driveway.

If you ordered pollen, it will be wrapped & labelled with your name. If you need pollen substitute, please have exact change of $4 each as we will not make change; place the money directly into the container provided for that purpose.

ANCHORAGE Bees are ready for pick-up

Palmer: We sent out an email on Wednesday called 2023 Bee Delivery Day Procedures specific for your pick up for this upcoming shipment.

We are using a different location this Saturday than we used last year or even last week. This week we are using the back parking lot at Lazy Mountain Bible Church. Directions are to go a half mile up Clark Wolverine road and Turn onto Shawn. The church is on the right. Turn into the first driveway and go around the back of the church. We will be distributing bees directly out of our trailer. The parking lot access continues around the church so you are able to exit by continuing onward. We expect to be there at about 11:00 in the morning and hope to be done with the distribution by about 1pm.

PALMER Bees should be picked up

WASILLA: We sentout an email on Wednesday called 2023 Bee Delivery Day Procedures specific for your pick up for this upcoming shipment.

Our pick up spot will be on the corner of Vine and Parks Highway across from Goldstar Plumbing and right next to the Tessoro / Crowley Fuel station. It is easy to get into, has lots of space and should be free of melt water. The parking lot is pretty open and has easy access from Vine as well as the Parks Highway southbound lanes. If you are coming from the center of town you will turn left on Vine from the turn lane at the signal, then turn right into the parking lot. Southbound from the Meadow Lakes area you will access the parking lot by turning right into the Tessoro / Crowley station or turn right on Vine and then turn right into the lot. We will be distributing the bees directly from our trailer and probably on the east side of the lot. If you get there early and we have not arrived yet you can top off your tank, wash your windows, and visit the coffee shop right there on the corner. They should have a supply of mini marshmallows so instead of buying a whole bag and using only a couple you may consider a cup of hot chocolate with some marshmallows on the side...

WASILLA Bees should be picked up

BIG LAKE: We sent out an email on Friday morning called 2023 Bee Delivery Day Procedures specific for your pick up for this upcoming shipment.

The Big Lake pick up point is at the EAST LAKE MALL or If you want your bees earlier, our Wasilla pick up is at Vine & the Parks Hwy in the Crowley parking lot across from Gold Star. Southbound from the Meadow Lakes area you will access the parking lot by turning right into the Tessoro / Crowley station or turn right on Vine and then turn right into the lot. We will be distributing the bees directly from our trailer and probably on the east side of the lot. If you get there early and we have not arrived yet you can top off your tank, wash your windows, and visit the coffee shop right there on the corner. They should have a supply of mini-marshmallows so instead of buying a whole bag and using only a couple you may consider a cup of hot chocolate with some marshmallows on the side....

BIG LAKE Bees are hanging at Wasilla parks and Vine but will be loaded into Donna's Subaru shortly.

KENAI PENINSULA: We sent out an email on Wednesday called 2023 Bee Delivery Day Procedures specific for your pick up for this upcoming shipment. This is what we did in 2022:

SOLDOTNA: Rick Lantz will be carrying the bees down to the Kenai Peninsula for us. Distribution in Soldotna is at the Kenai Peninsula Borough building.

Please check the update before heading out to the pickup site.. A helper will ask for the name on the packages & if you want pollen substitute. If you need pollen patties, please have exact change of $4 each and place the money directly into the container provided for that purpose. If you ordered pollen or supplies to be delivered with the bees, be sure to look around for the supply pile and retrieve your things. .

SOLDOTNA Bees should be picked up

Homer: Rick Lantz will be carrying the bees down to Homer. The distribution spot in Homer will be different than last year. They are predicting that they’ll be in Homer at the HERC parking lot next to the Homer Vet Clinic at 326 Woodside Ave. between 3:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon for pickup but keep checking the website or the home recorder for the more accurate update.

HOMER Bees expected to arrive around 4. Passed anchor point at 345

DELTA JUNCTION: We sent out an email on Wednesday called 2023 Bee Delivery Day Procedures specific for your pick up for this upcoming shipment.

Our distribution point will be at the IGA store parking lot. .

We will update this website while enroute on delivery day so that you will have an accurate arrival time. Please refresh the page when checking on current status.

This will be a short roadside drop as we will be traveling south towards Tok to deliver the rest of the packages.

We will be returning through Delta on our way back home an hour or two later. If you need pollen substitute, we will have some with us - please have exact change of $4 each as we will not make change.

Our distribution point will be at the Hutchison Career Center School at 3750 Geist Rd at the corner of University and Geist Rd.

We focus on getting Cameron on his way first. Update points will be Talkeetna, Cantwell, Healy, Clear and Nenana as he has stops here.
